Vox Program Analysis | Finish the whole structure for equality of state
Vox’s agenda could be summed up in one sentence: End all the laws, structures, budgets and services the state has built over three decades for equality and against violence against women.
The far-right party proposes to repeal the entire quota system to tackle the gender gap, the the law of only yes is yesTHE law trans, the law on abortion, the law on equality and, above all, the law against gender-based violence of 2004, a pioneering law that represents the most advanced legislation in the world in the fight against violence that WHO considers a health problem global public and the UN an epidemic. In Spain, since 2003 alone, 1,209 women have been murdered by their partners or former partners.
Among Vox’s objectives there is also the elimination of the Ministry of Equality, of the Courts for violence against women, and of all those local, provincial, autonomous and state structures -institutional or of civil society- that work for equality or against sexist violence. In other words, to make the whole network disappear that the different governments (left and right) have created since the beginning of democracy.
