Another setback for Marc Márquez, who will not start in Germany
Marc Márquez has decided to give up his talismanic career and will not compete in the German GP where he achieved 11 straight victories. An incident in the morning warm-up session was the straw that broke the camel’s back. After another notable beating, the fifth in less than 48 hours, the Honda rider decided not to take part in the test and to stop taking other risks. The blow in the morning caused Márquez severe pain in his right ankle and a small fracture in his left thumb, even though the doctors at the event had given the all-clear for him to participate. The moral blow and the delicate situation of the eight-time world champion precipitated the decision.
