The Portuguese footballer leaves Celtic Glasgow to embark on the Saudi adventure
Al Ittihad disbursed around 13 million euros
Saudi Arabia continues to recruit talent. Many of the operations are characterized by being the signings of veteran footballers (Cristiano, Benzema, Kanté…), but there are also exceptions. Joao Pedro Pedro Felipe Neves, sportingly known as Jotahe wrapped the blanket over his head and will end up in Al Ittihad of the almighty (economically) Saudi league.
The 24-year-old Portuguese footballer leaves the cold and rainy Glasgow, where he defended the Catholic colors of Celtic, to settle in the hot Arabian desert. Al Ittihad has disbursed a sum of 13 million euros for the acquisition of the Portuguese’s services, even if the total for the operation rises to around 27, taking into account the player’s salary.
Jota, a wing that can develop on either side of the attack, will share a dressing room with Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kantétwo of the stars that Al Ittihad managed to sign in this transfer market.
